MTI Announces New LEED Accredited Professionals

Elgin, IL - May 1, 2009- MTI Construction Services, LLC is pleased to announce that 2 additional members of its project management team have become LEED Accredited Professionals (AP), giving MTI a total of 3 LEEP AP’s.  Ken Lattanzi and Pat Wood were the most recent of MTI’s team to become accredited.  With 3 LEED Accredited Professionals, MTI continues to move forward as a progressive construction firm dedicated to providing knowledge and expertise as leaders in green, sustainable building design and construction methods.

As required by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED AP’s are expected to have a thorough understanding of green building practices, and must possess the following knowledge: building industry knowledge and tenure in green building; familiarity with documentation process for LEED projects; knowledge of LEED credit intents, requirements, submittals, technologies and strategies within your discipline; practical experience working with multiple design disciplines; understanding of life-cycle costs and benefits of LEED; and familiarity with LEED resources and processes.
