MTI Employee Receives LEED Accreditation
Elgin, Illinois, March 4, 2009 - Brian Ahmer, assistant project manager of MTI Construction Services, LLC in Elgin, has earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accreditation for New Construction. Brian becomes MTI’s first LEED Accredited Professional. “This is a great achievement for Brian and our company and allows MTI to continue expanding our knowledge and expertise in providing green building initiatives and sustainable construction for our clients”, said the company’s president, Andy Jones. According to the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles of the LEED Rating System.
